A Linkz keyring is designed to be carried, not displayed carefully on a desk. The NFC chip is sealed inside the printed body, the QR code is part of the back face, and the short link keeps the code simple enough to scan cleanly at keyring size.

What is inside a Linkz NFC keyring
The tag is a 30 mm disc with a keyring loop, printed solid in tough plastic here on the Gold Coast. During the print we pause, drop in an NFC chip, and seal it inside the body, so there is no sticker to peel and no chip exposed to water or keys. The front is a clean face with a tap mark. The back carries your QR code, printed into the surface rather than onto it.
Both the chip and the code hold the same thing: your short Linkz address, linkz.au plus a couple of letters. Keeping the address that short is deliberate. A short link makes a physically simpler QR code with bigger modules, which is why it prints deep and still scans quickly after months of being scratched by keys.
Choose your colours
You pick two colours: the base of the tag and the QR code on the back. The configurator above shows the real combinations we print, and it greys out any pairing that does not have enough contrast for a phone camera to read. Black on orange, white on purple, and dark code on a light base all scan well.
Printed shades can vary slightly from the screen, the way any physical product does. If you order the pair, both tags come in the same colours so they match on two sets of keys.
Built to be dropped, rained on and thrown in a bag
A sticker-style NFC tag fades, peels and stops reading within a season. A card lives in a wallet and cracks when you sit on it. The Linkz keyring is solid plastic all the way through, and the chip sits in the middle of it. We tap and scan every tag before it leaves, and if one ever stops working during normal use in its first year, we print and post a replacement free.

Frequently asked questions
What is an NFC keyring?
It is a keychain tag containing a near field communication chip. A compatible phone reads the chip at close range and opens the web link stored on it. Linkz adds a QR code and an editable business page behind the link.
What happens if a phone cannot read NFC?
The customer scans the QR code printed on the back with their phone camera. Both methods lead to the same page.
How big is it?
About 30 mm across, roughly the size of a 50 cent coin, and 4 mm thick. It sits on a keyring alongside your keys without getting in the way.
Will it survive on my keys?
That is what it is for. The tag is printed solid with the chip sealed inside. Normal knocks, rain and pocket wear are fine. If it fails during normal use in the first year we replace it free. Deliberate damage, pets and extreme heat are not covered.
Can I change where the keyring links?
Yes. The tag always opens your short Linkz address, and you edit the buttons and details on the page behind it whenever you like.
