How an NFC business card works
NFC stands for near field communication, the same short-range radio that lets you pay with your phone. A tiny chip inside the Linkz tag stores your short web address. When a phone comes within a couple of centimetres, it powers the chip, reads the address and offers to open it. No app, no pairing, no battery in the tag.
iPhones from the XR onwards read NFC tags in the background, so the customer just holds their phone near the tag and a banner appears. Most Android phones do the same with NFC switched on. For older phones, or anyone who prefers it, the QR code on the back of the tag opens exactly the same page through the camera.
Keyring versus NFC card
Most NFC business cards are credit-card sized and cost somewhere between $30 and $80 each, often with a monthly fee on top to unlock the profile features. They work, but they live in a wallet, and a wallet is exactly where a business card gets forgotten.
Linkz is a 30 mm tag on your keys. You already carry it, it is already in your hand when you walk a customer out, and it survives being dropped, rained on and thrown in a bag. It costs $89 for one or $99 for two, and the page behind it is included with no ongoing fee.
What happens after the tap
The tap opens your Linkz page in their browser. From there they can choose Save contact and confirm the save on their phone, call or email you, open your website or follow another link. You choose which buttons appear and in which order.
Your dashboard shows page visits and button clicks by day. A Save contact click shows interest, not a confirmed contact save. Your page stays editable while the tag stays on your keys or bag.

Frequently asked questions
How does an NFC business card work?
A small NFC chip stores a link. When a compatible phone is held near the tag, the phone reads the chip and offers to open your digital business card in its browser. Nothing needs to be installed.
Does Linkz work with iPhone and Android?
Yes. iPhones from the XR onwards and most Android phones with NFC read the tag directly. The QR code on the back is a camera-based backup for any other phone, or when NFC is switched off.
Can someone save my details to their contacts?
Yes. Your page can include a save-contact button with your name, business, phone, email and website. They choose Save contact and confirm it on their phone.
What if I change my phone number or job title?
Log in and edit your page. Every tag you own points at the new version immediately. That is the main advantage over printed and NFC cards that store the details on the card itself.
Can I get one for each person in my team?
Yes. The online order covers one or two matching tags. For a team, email mark@spraymedia.com.au and we will sort out pricing, colours and a page for each person.
Is there a monthly fee?
