Who we are

Linkz is operated by Spray Media on the Gold Coast, Australia. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to mark@spraymedia.com.au.

Information we collect

When someone opens a public Linkz profile or follows one of its buttons, we record limited first-party usage data for the profile owner. This can include the date and time, button used, device type, browser user agent, referring page and country supplied by our hosting network. We do not store the visitor's IP address in the Linkz profile statistics database.

Unless you switch them off in Privacy settings, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity collect page views, approximate location, device and browser information, referral source, clicks, scrolls, checkout progress and page performance. Clarity can create masked session replays and heatmaps. Form fields and payment details are not deliberately sent as analytics events, and sensitive input is masked in Clarity.

We advertise Linkz on Google. If you arrive from a Google ad and later place an order, Google Ads conversion tracking uses a cookie to tell Google that the ad led to a sale. It reports the order value, not your name or contact details. You can switch analytics and advertising cookies off at any time from Privacy settings at the bottom of any page.

If you contact us, create an account or place an order, we also collect the information needed to respond, provide your Linkz service, take payment through Stripe and fulfil your order.

How we use and share information

We use information to operate Linkz, show customers their profile statistics, process orders, prevent abuse, support customers and improve the website. Data is shared only with service providers needed for those purposes, including our hosting, database, email, payment, analytics and advertising providers. Those providers may process data outside Australia under their own privacy and security terms. We do not sell personal information.

Your analytics and advertising choice

Analytics and advertising cookies are on by default. Australian law does not require us to ask first, and we only advertise within Australia, but you can opt out at any time: choose Essential only from the Privacy settings button at the bottom of any page and we stop the analytics and advertising tags and clear their cookies. Essential cookies are still used for sign-in, security, checkout and remembering your choice.

Retention and your rights

We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, security and customer support needs. You may ask us to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or ask a privacy question, by emailing us. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
